An online talk on efforts towards practical use of AI for assistance in software engineering at Google (this is California time):

("Towards an ML-augmented Programming Stack" by Eugene Kirpichov. A slide deck is attached to the event page, the key slides are slides 11-13.)

An online demoparty (this is Boston time):

One can just watch, or one can take part in various competitions.

Boston annual demoparty at Artisan's Asylum makerspace starts this Friday evening and continues into Sunday: atparty-demoscene.net

(this makerspace is rather famous en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Artisan%27s_Asylum)

Есть довольно знаменитая анимация движущегося горного пейзажа, сделанная исполняемым кодом в 4 килобайта (no external files are used). Я, наконец, нашёл материалы, объясняющие, как это сделано: www.iquilezles.org/prods/index.htm#elevated

(Сочетание нескольких техник, ключевая из которых - derivatives of the Value Noise.)

Автор - один из основателей сайта Shadertoy: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shadertoy

Теперь есть и пример, как тоже самое можно делать из Питоновского скрипта (если не заботиться о размерах получающейся программы). Я собрал относяшиеся к делу ссылки в конце файла github.com/anhinga/2019-python-drafts/blob/master/vispy/README.md

The demoparty was very, very interesting.

Meanwhile the code for "dynamic dataflow" (an intermediate version between standard first-order dataflow and full-strength higher-order dataflow) is almost done, I expect to open-source it within the next few days.

The first version of our dataflow experiments (May 9) was open sourced on June 12 (github, user anhinga, repository fluid).

Meanwhile we are actively working on the next, higher-order version, there is a nice algebra of "almost continuous transforms" for dataflow graphs, and some code associated with this was written today.

And I've seen a lot of interesting references during this week, "neural turing machines", and "inceptionism in neural networks".

And then: a demoparty this weekend at MIT: http://atparty-demoscene.net/schedule/
